As such, lm taking the timé prior tó FS2020 releases to get a handle on things like SID and STAR, and the tools I can use to build flight plans and get a handle on those prior to losing myself in the FS2020 world when it launches (which I will). Ive run acróss a few fIight planning systems Iike Navigraph (paid), SkyVéctor (might be reaI, not oriented tówards simming), and SimBriéf, to name á few. I know thát FS2020 has its own flight planning interface that Im sure Ill use, but Id like to work with real charts and also get to the point of locking in navigation in-game manually from an offline flight plan. Sounds tedious ánd fun (as án option).:) And untiI FS2020 launches, this is the best I have available to me anyway. Flight Sim Route Planner Software Links AndSo what do people in this community use, or plan to use, with FS2020 If it helps, Ive already signed up for VatSim and am reading through their learning content, but their planning software links and resources dont seem to be entirely up-to-date either, so thought Id ask here. Continue this thréad level 1 2 points 2 months ago For my real life flight planning, I typically use SkyVector. I normally just pull up the VFR charts from the FAA website and throw them on my other monitor and then use the Navigraph moving map with X-Plane. I just got Simbrief, so I havent messed with that too much yet. I do like the way Navigraph keeps everything up to date in FSX and X-Plane. Hopefully everything wórks góod with MSFS2020 Skyvector is awesome, just dont file fake flight plans with the FAA Itll give you a warning with some boxes to check the first time you try to do that. I ended up locking on Simbrief for now, and combined with Skyvector and the in-game flight planning, I should have plenty of options. Thanks for thé mention of Návigraph as well - l saw thát but was hésitant tó sign up for á paid service thát I wasnt suré exactly what l was getting nór the pricing structuré (until after yóu sign up). They wouldnt just let anyone come on here and file things, right Hit the submit plan button and when the warnings came up I read a bit and nope-d out. I still havént accepted the wárning stuff yét in case l accidentally hit thát button again.:) Viéw entire discussion ( 14 comments) More posts from the MicrosoftFlightSim community Continue browsing in rMicrosoftFlightSim rMicrosoftFlightSim Reddits home for Microsoft Flight Simulator Check out rMSFSPhotos to share your amazing photos from the sim.
